The Anti-Cruelty Society of Chicago is accepting applications for a full-time Animal Care Technician. This position reports to the Kennel Manager in cooperation with Shelter Management. The responsibilities include:

• Maintaining the most healthy, sanitary, safe and comfortable conditions for animals in the shelter

• Learning the requirements for responsible animal care and sharing this information with the public

• Screening potential adopters in order to insure the best possible match between animal and adopter.

• Performing other functions as assigned by Shelter Management.

The ideal candidate must have a pleasant demeanor, be objective, courteous and reasonable at all times. Must respect animals and believe in The Anti-Cruelty Society‘s mission and philosophy.
