I'd really like to volunteer my time with a rescue group but I cannot handle dealing with dogs on "limited time" such as most city shelters. I already feel the need to rescue just about all of them as their time nears. I just adopted one 2 weeks ago - now we have 6 dogs and my husband has threatened to leave if I get anymore.
What can I do to help somewhere without driving me crazy with grief? |

Have you tried searching VolunteerMatch (www.volunteermatch.org) one of the areas they offer volunteer opportunities in, is animals.
If it's a problem owning 6 dogs, maybe be your own "rescue group" and work at re-homing some of the dogs you already have. You know they have a wonderful home until they find their "forever homes". |
