DO NOT use Biospot. Years ago I used it on a couple pf cats, one of them developed blisters and scabs along her spine where it was applied. It did nerve damage and she doesn't like that part of her back touched at all. She twiches her back and cries if we pet her along her spine in the area where the Biospot was applied and the blisters and scabs formed. The pain/nerve damage has never gotten better over the years, she'll be like that forever.

Now I use Advantage on all the cats and have never had a reaction with any of them.

I would not use biospot.....ever. Too many reports of things going horribly wrong.

I use frontline on my "babies" .....don't have a flea problem - never have, but we have ticks galore. Evil or Very Mad And yes, in the south, we do have lyme carrying ticks. I just hate anything with 8 legs!

I've also used advantix in the past, it seemed to be quite good with no side effects on my furkids.

Musher2:

Have you thought about diatomaceous earth? This can be purchased in feed/seed type stores and some pet supply centers sell it too. You don't want the swimming pool version. Diatomaceous earth can be sprinkled on the dog's beds, in the house carpets, outside in the yard and on the dog itself. It is sharp fossilized structure that kills insects by piercing their shell. It is often used when pets have reactions to other products.

Welshiemom~

Thank you for the product information. Another member had recommended this as well. I really need to take a look at it. I think it would be beneficial for many of us.
