Though these are not Katrina rescues, they are animals who have ended up in the SBP Shelter--a shelter currently overun with animals surrendered by families who just can't go on any longer. Am crossposting this appeal for adopters for these wonderful animals--just spent 2 weeks there and can attest to how great they all are and how hard everyone is working to get them placed...
Dearest Friends, Family, and Animal Lovers,
The animals in this video are in desperate need of loving homes. They are located at the Animal Shelter in the Hurricane Devastated Region of St. Bernard Parish Louisiana. These animals are simply gorgeous, with personalities to match. Sadly, many have been owner surrendered due to the hardship their owners have endured caused by Hurricane Katrina. Others have been found wandering the hurricane devastated region and sadly no one has claimed them.
Please consider adopting from the shelter, providing these animals with a second chance. In addition to encouraging locals adoptions, we are able to transport anywhere in the United States and Canada.
