"Hi Dina here - professional dog trainer and the proud co-host of the Petfinder Show. Each of the shows was special in its own way and I loved meeting all the families and the amazing people who brought their own pets to act as Teacher's Pets. And spending time with all the shelter workers was particularly inspirational. For me, however, one episode sticks out and that was the Bissels. The family was amazing - such a great group of animal lovers - and it was great to make Martha's dream of having a goat in the house come true, although clearly she wasn't quite ready for that baby goat roaming all over her house! But no one expected the dog to jump into the pool and the need for me to jump in after to rescue it! I don't know who was more surprised, me, the dog, the family or the camera crew, who didn't know whether to keep filming or put down the cameras and jump in after me! Luckily, the dog was easily saved and everyone on set learned a very valuable lesson about teaching your dog to swim. I can't wait to share that moment and that lesson with the TV audience!"

I'm watching now. I love the family! And, very good explanation of the "teachers pet" concept, too. I love goats -- and we have plenty on Petfinder available for adoption, so I hope some folks watching really fall in love with that idea (if they have the right lifestyle for a goat, of course). I hope everyone is telling their friends to watch our TV show, since we need good ratings so we get to have an adoption show every year!! --Betsy |

Dina, you were great jumping in after the dog. I was surprised to see the dog sink. It was a real learning experience to watch. Personally I was disappointed that neither of the parents jumped in to help. _________________ www.happily.petfinder.org
