Does anyone know of anyone that can help with a vet bill. My siamese/himalayan mix cat was hurt and in pain crying this morning so I took him to the emergency vet. It cost $132-80 and I had to take it out of my rent money. Now my rent will bounce. Is there anywhere I can borrow? I am disabled ( have cancer) and work part time so I could make payments. I am now worried about being evicted and need to put the $ back in the account. I found out he had been in a fight (yes he is neutered and friendly) obviously wrong place wrong time and had puncture wounds. He is now on Antibiotics and painkillers but this is a worry. I want to cat proof my yard but cannot do that due to $ right now.

I believe they used to serve all of Southern CA but don't know if they still do. If not, maybe they can give you other suggestions.

I would consider a cash advance on a credit card. There is also overdraft credit, but I don't know how fast they move. Why don't you call your vet and ask if they can take a post-dated check? What a sad situation. Do you have friends or relatives who could help for a few days? I try to make sure my vet has emergency services (I use two vets now) because one isn't too good about emergency care and often leaves early if he has not appointments.

I will keep your baby in my prayers. You got some great links here I hope they help. Can you please keep your baby in the house from now on then he won't be in so much danger? I know how serious those puncture wounds are with cats! Wishing you healing and good luck!
