Master Tank and his lifemate Nila are two dogs who were taken out of Louisiana after Hurricane Katrina, although their owners had entrusted them to a temporary shelter to be cared for until they could find a new family home.
Tank and Nila were taken to Florida, separated from each other and sent to different households, despite the fact that they were a bonded pair that had lived together since they were puppies. They now spend their days isolated from their original family and apart from each other.
While a protracted custody dispute rages, we the petitioners believe it is wrong to keep these two dogs apart from each other and request that their current caregivers reunite them in one household, and cooperate to ensure a speedy resolution to the legal proceedings.
