Post subject: Does anyone else Walk Away The Pounds?

I have been doing Leslie Sansone workouts for almost a year now. I started out doing the 3 mile WATP with weight and I have graduated to the 5 mile walk, but I can only do it on weekends when I have enough time. During the work week I rotate 2, 3, and the 4 mile walk. I love them. Anyone else out there walking away the stress, pounds, and the blues? Which walk is your favorite? Has anyone tried the new workout that came out in January, I think it is called Walk Slim? Cool Cool

I just got a good Pedometer. You are should walk 10,000 steps a day. I did good the first two days and then I got sick. Now I only walk to get hot tea, about 2000 steps. Crying or Very sad

I walk to the fridge, the stove, the takeout counter. No, wait, I drive to the drive-thru. So I am only gaining, not losing. Maybe that is where I am going wrong.

I can barely move, these days. But a few years ago I walked daily.

I walked 4-5 miles a day, everyday for 3 months. I didn't lose an ounce of weight and it never got easier. I walked a 15 minute mile and, try as I might, I couldn't reduce my time.

So, when life got too hectic with grad school and work, I stopped.

I don't know why it didn't seem to work for me. But it didn't.

The other day I was at the Vets office and I weighted myself on the dog scale ... Shocked OMG I'm a Newfoundland. I don't want weight the same as the giant breed dogs. If I don't start walking I will have to find a cattle scale Crying or Very sad

I dont walk everyday, but on my days off we usually go for long hikes, miles. i dont know how many miles though. but they wear us out thats for sure.
when the weather is nice i do shorter walks to the nearby park or along the river more regularly, but I only go if the weather is safe for Lexi and me, and i usually go at night time.
I watch people walk thier dogs in the nastiest of weather-- hey thats all great and everything that you are so devoted, but is the dog really enjoying it? Lexi wouldnt!
I dont walk to lose weight although I know it probably helps keep me in shape- if I didnt do hikes id probably be heavier.

Does walking at work count? I'm a server/host (and prepcook on the weekend). Otherwise I walk to the fridge, um, walking through the grocery store while doing grocery shopping. That's about it.
