Please post your comments, too, if you would like. I'm doing this poll because of input from other posters. This poll will run for 30 days.
Thanks. |

| I have to go with city and state because I'm not good with knowing where the counties are. |

| I think county and state since so many pounds are called such-and-such county pound. But I think it doesn't matter much, as long as you get the general area in the heading. |

I agree with Mare to do county and state because that's usually the name of the pound.
Keep up the good work. You are saving lives with all the posting you do. _________________ www.Carroll.Petfinder.org

| Thanks, I haven't put my preference in yet as I wanted to see what others thought about it first. I try to use all three options...rotate city, county, state...when I post the subject lines and of course I put all three in the body of every email. Thank you all....keep voting! |

I would have to say either city and state or area like NE Ohio, western PA or something similar. I have no idea when it comes to counties. I know counties in north eastern Ohio fairly well, but that's it. I don't even know the counties where I currently live in NC very well. I know accouple, but not even all the ones close by. _________________

I agree because an out of state, if they adopt out of state would not know the counties but would probably know the cities.
The pounds name would be in the post or the link given in the message. The heading tells someone if they are close enough and should read the listing or too far away and shouldn't.
Not reading any is a waste of time! Just that there are so many posted and some days you simply can't!
Take care, Christie |

I like City/State because our county alone has 4 places to adopt from, so Franklin County, Mo would be wide open.
Also, someone here (and I dont mind) always catches my attention because they post for a Franklin County... NC, perhaps? |

| That's interesting how people want cities listed, as most pounds are in tiny little towns that people have never heard of. I live in Ohio but I had no clue where Tiffin or Woodsfield or Celina were located, so I prefer the area of the state, as NW, NE, SW, SE or Central lets me know right away the general location without having to look it up on mapquest. Keep voting...I'm interested! |

I agree. I see city names and have to do a mapquest to see if the city is in an area of the state that's nearby. (Since I'm fairly close to a state border, I like the area/state combo. Some parts of Michigan are farther away than going out of state.) _________________
