Shelter Lighting Impacts Adoptions
Walk around your kennels and check out the lighting. Which kennels are most brightly lit? Which kennels are darkest?
Lighting is so important to draw the public's eye towards a dog, especially the dark dogs. Consider installing spotlights, or even directional plant lights to shine on your corner runs, or the kennel runs which are darkest or tucked away. Place your black dogs in the most brightly-lit kennels.
