We are a local foster home based rescue.<br/><br/>Stella Mae is a happy senior girl who is a friend to everyone. She would love a family that will include her in their plans. Stella Mae enjoys going for walks and will need some guidance on proper leash manners. She is also vocal while on walks...she wants everyone to know that she is ready to be greeted. Apartment life is not for this girl. After her walk Stella Mae will seek out a cozy spot, preferably right beside her people. <br/><br/>Stella Mae has been very friendly to other dogs that she has met along the way. She would enjoy a canine companion possessing the same respectful demeanor that she possesses. We don't know if Stella Mae has had any experience with cats, therefore, any cat in the home should have a safe place to observe her while she adapts to her new surroundings. This lovely lady has impeccable house manners.<br/><br/>Stella Mae received a Senior Wellness Exam with bloodwork. She was recently spayed and received a dental with extractions. Stella Mae has arthritis and has been prescribed Cosequin, a joint supplement, and Carprofen, an anti-inflammatory, indefinitely to help with mobility and prevent joint discomfort. She is spayed, microchipped and up to date on her vaccines. Stella Mae is 9 years old and weighs 95 pounds.<br/><br/>Please note, we have approximately a 200 mile adoption radius from Stanwood WA for our Senior Dogs. Save-A-Mutt may limit this distance based on the long term needs of this pet. We don’t adopt out of state except to the Vancouver BC area. We don’t ship dogs. Once approved you must pick them up in Snohomish County, WA. Canadian adopters must be able to come to Stanwood WA to pick up their dog.
