We are Himalayan sisters and litter-mates, so we've been together all our lives. We are healthy and fit as well as house-trained. We're waiting to be adopted together since we definitely do not want to go to a shelter or be separated! We are both spayed, so we will not do things like mark our territory. We are also declawed so we cannot jump on the counters or scratch up any furniture, but we do enjoy lying on soft things like the sofa, and would love to join you for a nap in your bed! We like to be indoors as we cannot defend ourselves without any claws, but if you have a fenced garden, we love to stay in the sun or chew a little on cat-grass. Being indoors is good for us, and will help us live longer. In fact, we heard that some cats lived to be 38 years old. We are trained, and we use a kind of litter, the one that doesn’t smell. We are low maintenance, you need only to leave fresh water and one cup of hard dry cat food (does not smell) in our bowls per day. Dry food is good for our teeth. We would like to live in a house or apartment with a person that knows how to care for fluffy, cuddly cats, someone that does not mind the fur we live behind, and who loves to pet us as much as we love to be petted. We have always lived in apartment with adults and we are not afraid of dogs that are friendly to us. We are not so sure about children. We really loved to sleep at our owner’s bed-foot but he has gone overseas and now we just sleep at any place where is warm and comfortable. But we miss people and we wish we had more company again, and so we would be fun, loving, easy-going pets to anyone who is good to us. Minnie is well behaved and knows tricks like sit, stand, roll over, beg and lay down. She walks well on a leash, and although she can still be playful, she loves to snuggle next to you on the couch as well. She weighs about 22 pounds and looks like a black lab puppy that never grew up. She has never had an accident in the house. However Minnie is a very loyal and protective and should not be in a house with small children or other dogs. She sees them as "competition" and is aggressive towards them. We have tried (unsuccessfully) to thwart this behavior, but it is very ingrained in her personality. She has gotten along with smaller, male dogs in the past, but it's very hit or miss. She would be most successful in a home of a single person, or a couple without kids, or possibly an older person or couple looking for companionship. She would be very loyal and loving to you and is eager to please you. But if small children frequently visit your home she is probably not the dog for you. We have tried for over 2 years to get her to get along with the daughter we adopted (our daughter was 2 at the time) to no avail. It is a very stressful situation in our house and she needs a new home immediately. I do not want to take her to a shelter but I am quickly running out of options. If you can provide Minnie with a loving home where she can be the center of your life, please give her a chance. She won't disappoint you! * House Trained * Spayed/Neutered
