Happy Pi Day! In case you’re not as nerdy as I am, today is a day to celebrate pi — the ratio of a circle’s circumference to its diameter. It’s a never ending number that starts 3.14159. Reciting it was a game of sorts in a high school math class. Today, March 14, is a day to celebrate the beauty of mathematics by eating pie, playing math games — and sharing adorable adoptable pets who want to celebrate in a new home!

1. Oreo Pie
Good Oreo pies make me grin just like adoptable Oreo is doing in his picture! The SPCA in Cattaragus County says that Oreo enjoys “going for jogs and long walks with the volunteers” so he sounds like the perfect antidote to a sugar overload from too much Oreo pie. Read his profile>

2. Apple Pie
I think Apple the rabbit has the same great appeal of the all-American classic pie. She’s currently being cared for by the Georgia House Rabbit Society. Will you let her hop into your heart and home? Read her profile>

3. Blueberry Pie
Blueberry pie is one of the few types of pie I can reliably bake and have turn out delicious. All that sugar though means that I always feel a need to run around after eating a piece (or two). Adoptable Blueberry looks like he’d be great for that. According to Animatch, Blueberry has “a real passion for tennis balls” so after dessert you could grab the leash, head to an enclosed space and play a good game of fetch! Read Blueberry’s profile>

4. Pumpkin Pie
Every fall it seems like I can’t get enough pumpkin pie. I suspect, looking at adoptable Pumpkin‘s adorable stretching, his future family won’t be able to get enough of his sweetness. The Friendship Animal Protective League refers to Pumpkin as a “social butterfly.” Won’t you let this friendly cat socialize with you? Read his profile>

5. Pecan Pie
Pecan pie is known for its rich sweetness. Pecan the adoptable dog is known by the Friends Forever Rescue as an “active, handsome” who loves to play. Are you looking for an active pup to help compensate for the sugar in your celebratory pecan pie? Read Pecan’s profile>
