Trooper is available for adoption at Animal Alliance in Lambertville, NJ.
April is Prevention of Cruelty to Animals Month and this year it's hitting especially close to home -- in the form of my foster puppy, sitting at my feet chewing my desk chair as I type. Trooper was the victim of horrible cruelty at the hands of a guardian who should have loved and protected him. Instead, it was necessary for the Pennsylvania SPCA to send investigators to rescue Trooper from his suffering, and for PSPCA rescue partner Animal Alliance to provide Trooper with the care he needed to heal and find the family he deserves.
Please join Trooper and me in celebrating Prevention of Cruelty to Animals month along with our friends at the Pennsylvania SPCA and Animal Alliance.
Trooper is just one of the almost 300,000 adoptable pets posted on
Petfinder today. You may have known your own Trooper; stories like his
arouse anger and disgust in any animal lover who hears them - as well
they should. But Trooper, like many abused animals, holds no grudge. His
spirit, resilience and pure love of life are amazing - and are what
make my work in animal welfare so meaningful.
