A few years ago our yellow lab Max came over and died in my arms and I didn't know you could hurt that bad. The next day I ha stroke and a gran mal seziure that took a 15 year teaching career. I was ill and sad and was giving up. You can image my suprise when my husband adopted a chocolate lab (we named Clancy) I thought he was out of his mind!! I lost my rocking chair time and was chasing this puppy around. One Easter he flooded our 2 story house because he ate the plumbing. My life was not going to be boring. One night while Clancy and I watched TV I started writing and I have 5 childrens books about Clancy. He's been in the local papers and by being naughty I wasn't allowed to quit. My dream is coming true Clancy and I were invinted to come to the schools and tell his stories. He can tell my husband before I have sezures, with never a day in training. He showed my how to laugh again and for that I will be grateful for the rest of my life.
