The Wonder Team and a happy adoptive family from season one
Are you thinking about adopting a dog from a shelter or rescue group? Animal Planet's Underdog to Wonderdog is now casting adopters for its second season!

Here's the announcement we've been asked to share by the show's production company, Sharp Entertainment:
Sharp Entertainment is casting for the second season of the ambitious television series that pairs abandoned shelter dogs with loving and deserving families.

Guided by the expertise of our Wonder Team, these once-neglected and forgotten shelter dogs will be transformed and given a second chance at life by being placed in loving and caring homes.

Not only will the pooches undergo an amazing transformation - so will the families and their homes, with a special doggie makeover that ensures the home and family are ready to welcome their new canine member.
We are looking for charismatic, enthusiastic and energetic families and individuals - who have a unique, sentimental, or powerful emotional reason to want to bring a dog into their lives. But above all else, we are looking for caring people who have a lot of love to give and are truly serious about giving a shelter or rescued dog a "forever" home.

We are looking for families in the New York area immediately. This includes New York, New Jersey, Connecticut, Long Island, and Pennsylvania. If you know a kind loving person that would like to adopt a dog please e-mail us today! Also, make sure to check us out on the web.

When we got him no one wanted him. He was a runty rottweiler, he turned out to be invaluable.  Khai was so in tune to everyone around him.  He taught himself to care for me. The first time I fell down, he helped me up all by himself; the first time I seized, he protected me from hurting myself.  We then had him trained and certified; he has been by my side since. Khai's not only cared for me, but everyone in my family.  My husband is ill and when Rich is bedridden, Khai stays with him, kissing his hand watching over him. When Rachael, my daughter was away at college, Khai would sleep in front of her door.  When Rachael was home, Khai would let her use him as a footrest.  Absolutely noone could so much as raise their voice to me, not even my husband, whom Khai loved. I remember every little thing about him.  How he lay on his back and his teeth stuck out like an alligator. How you could not open the fridge without him running into the kitchen to see what you were getting to eat and was there something for him. How he was always in the same room you were in and if he were sleeping and woke up and noticed he was alone he would go running looking for someone.  How he had a crooked little walk because he had crooked little feet. How his heart was too big for his body, it finally burst and he died suddenly. There was nothing we could do. I don't know what I'll do without him both emotionally and physically. I wish your team were in Henderson, Nevada to help us get another Khai.

"HE WILL BE YOURS, FAITHFUL AND TRUE, TO THE LAST BEAT OF HIS HEART" He truly was. I doubt I will find another.

I adopted a dog from a small shelter near North Shore last year and although quite large he was always well behaved till recently. He is now 2 1/2 yrs. old and I am finding that he's becoming agressive, somewhat vicious, and protective. I was wondering if anyone knows of any local sources on Long Island(cheap or free) that I could utilize to try to curb his behavior and rehabilitate him. He's sweet and well behaved with me and my fiance but turns into a guard dog with strangers. We provide a loving, happy, home so his new found behavior is really upsetting to me.

i was all excited until I saw you were only interested in families that lived in the NY and surrounding area. We live in Florida and lost our dog of 16 yrs, last year. We originally got him in NY at the Northshore Animal League and it was like losing a child.
Too bad, I hope you expand your show it's awesome and never fails to make me cry.

I wish you could come to Indiana because I am looking to adopt a dog since we just lost our dog and the dog we have currently needs a new friends.
