Dakota is a deaf/blind double merle Australian shepherd. She was born deaf and visually impaired and has been trained with touch and scent. Less than a year after I adopted her, she had two hemmorrhages in her right eye and she lost the little vision she had. She had to be hospitalized for a few days and had to see an opthamologist for months afterward. Despite this, Dakota continues with her agility training, passed her Canine Good Citizen test, and has even tried rally and swimming!
