Below are answers to frequently asked questions about the Petfinder "World's Best Pet Parent 2" Contest. We suggest you print this page for future reference.

When is the Contest?

The contest begins at about 10:00 AM ET on August 27, 2010 and ends at 11:59 PM ET on October 6, 2010.

Who can enter?

This contest is open only to the forty-seven (47) eligible finalists from Petfinder's 'World's Best Pet Parent' contest, held from May 26, 2010 to August 19, 2010.

How do I enter?

All forty seven (47) eligible finalists from the Petfinder's World's Best Pet Parent Contest will be automatically entered into the Petfinder's World's Best Pet Parent Contest 2 on August 27, 2010. Each finalist will be notified of the automatic entry prior to August 25, 2010 and will be given the option to opt out of the Contest by sending an email to Petfinder_Contests@discovery.com. Be sure to check the Official Rules for more detailed information on entering this contest.

How often may I enter?

There is a limit of one entry per person.

What are the prizes?

One Grand Prize winner will win a donation of $10,000 to the Petfinder-registered animal shelter or rescue group of his/her choice. One Runner-Up winner will win a donation of $5,000 to the Petfinder-registered animal shelter or rescue group of his/her choice. Ten Honorable Mention winners will each win a donation of $1,000 to the Petfinder-registered animal shelter or rescue group of his/her choice.

When and how will the winners be selected?

Public voting will determine the winners. When the voting period ends on October 6, 2010, the finalist with the highest number of votes will be named the Grand Prize winner; the second-highest vote total will be the Runner-Up; and the next 10 highest vote totals will determine the Honorable Mention winners.

How will I know if I've won?

The winners will be notified by by e-mail or telephone. If you'd like to know who won, just mail a self-addressed, stamped envelope to be received by December 15, 2010 to: Petfinder's World's Best Pet Parent 2 Winner List, PMI Station, PO Box 750, Southbury, CT 06488-0750.

By entering the contest will I automatically win something?

No, when you enter, you are entering for a chance to win a prize.

I have a friend who wants to enter. Can he or she still participate even though the contest has already started?

If your friend is one of the 47 eligible finalists from the original Petfinder 'World's Best Pet Parent' contest, he/she will be automatically entered as described above.

How many people can enter the contest?

The contest entry is limited to the 47 eligible finalists from the Petfinder 'World's Best Pet Parent' contest.

What should I do if I can't reach the contest web pages when I try to visit?

Come back and try again another time! Many Internet sites experience "traffic jams" from time to time. Refreshing the page may help. However, if you have problems connecting to all web sites, contact your system administrator; you may have a problem at your end.

I'm having trouble voting in the contest. My computer seems to be too slow or times out repeatedly. What should I do?

From time to time, the Internet experiences heavy periods of traffic. The slowdown in the registration process is often caused by a large number of consumers trying to register for the contest at the same time. If you are experiencing "time-outs" while trying to register, we suggest that you wait a few minutes or try again at a later time.

I'm a Macintosh user. Will I have trouble voting in the contest?

No, the sweepstakes is equally accessible through Macs and PCs.
