Hoosier - A Petfinder Happy Tail

Adopted Dog

Adopted from shelter rescue cannot recall name.

In 2006, I was looking at whippet mixes on Petfinder after recently losing my whippet to cancer-I came across a whippet collie mix named Bambi. She was adorable! I got in touch with Christina Curtis, the contact person and asked if she were still available. Christina was working with a rescue group in the Fountaintown area but I don't recall the name. It turned out that "Bambi" (now Hoosier) had been rescued from a high kill shelter after being scheduled for euthanasia. She had been deemed "too shy" and Christina sent me about a million pictures of her. The shelter wouldn't even take her to the PetSmart adoption drives because they thought she was too scared to adjust! Well, it was love at first sight. Drove to Indiana on a Sunday and got my girl, who is anything but shy! She was just terrified of the shelter. She is an angel and is one of the best things about my life-thank you Petfinder.com and Christina for sending me my girl!!
