I had been looking desperately for a dog for a few months and trying to convince my boyfriend that we needed one. I thought a sweet cuddly dog would help with my anxiety from my gluten sensitivity (sounds bizarre, but a common side effect) and felt that I needed a dog as badly as a rescue dog needed me. I used Petfinder to find a smaller young dog and found Wookie from All Terrier Rescue. The agency was amazing; they let us foster him for two weeks before adoption to see if he was the right fit. This sweet Shih Tzu-mix boy was rescued from a California [open-admission] shelter and he was on doggie death row!! He's really a perfect dog. Cuddles and is very laid back but loves to play and spoil you with endless kisses! I can't imagine someone putting this dog down; he's really changed my life and gives me something to look forward to every day. Adopt a pet today!
