I adopted Penelope (originally named Lexi) as a bondmate for my rabbit Nyx. When I brought her home they hated each other, and she wanted nothing to do with me. I could see she was a broken bun who needed patience and love. The first few months home with me were rough, filled with frustration and doubt, but in my heart I knew things would change. I began doing trust exercises with her where I'd put her in the car and drive around, then go home and sit on the floor with her. I did everything possible to gain this rabbit's trust. One year later Penelope is a happy, trusting, and loving rabbit. She and my male, Nyx, are good friends and she has learned a lot from him, good and bad. She is an amazing rabbit who loves food, going to the park, car rides, walks, fleece blankets, and food!! She is an amazing addition to my home and I love her with all my heart.
Adopted from MSPCA at Nevins Farm, Methuen, MA.
