Maxim is a dream come true. We call him our "Bernese Mountain Collie" because everyone tells us that he looks like he has Bernese Mountain Dog in him and he comes from a part of Kentucky where these dogs are used to guard sheep in the field. But we think that he is really part Collie, part Border Collie and part Austrian Shepherd. No matter what his heritage, he is without a doubt one of the most loving, smartest and most comical dogs that we have ever owned. While he hates to have his photo taken, we were able to snap a picture of him walking with my husband on a local trail called "Legacy Trail" in rural Lexington. Max has a new sister named "Kiera", also a Petfinder Adopted from Paris PAWS who is a Coonhound. Together, they are quite a pair and very much in love. They cuddle, kiss one another and play for hours. A match made in heaven and we are certainly grateful to Petfinder for helping us find our two loving "kids".
