I am originally from New Orleans and go to school in Tuscaloosa, AL. I really wanted a dog, but knew that I would not have time to walk him while I was busy with school during the day. I went on Petfinder from the NOLA's ARK website and saw the sweetest picture of a bombay kitten.
I immediately called the shelter, but he was already being cleaned up and getting ready for another family to take him. About 2 hours after I got the news, the lady called me back saying that the family no longer wanted him. I was absolutely thrilled.
When I got him he was about 4 months old and 3.5lbs. Now he is about to be 11 months old and is over 10lbs.
It was rough at first; he did not want any one or anything near him. But, as I am writing this he is passed out right next to me on his back and snoring. He is very playful and loves to kill any bug that comes into the house. His original name is Reilly, but I think Batman is a bit more fitting for him since he loves to jump around and take care of any bug that gets inside.
Batman is my big furry baby, and I would not trade him for another kitten
