I knew I wanted to adopt a rescue dog, and I liked black lab mixes so I looked on Petfinder for a good match for us. I wanted a dog who needed some extra attention and love. I contacted a number of foster parents, visited a bunch of shelters and met a ton of amazing dogs but, when I met Boo, he had me at hello. We are now celebrating our 3rd year together and his 10th birthday. He is a huge part of our lives and makes everything more fun. Dog owners have told me dogs are a great path to child rearing, but Boo has really changed my life. I can hardly remember it before him. When we're ready for a new baby we will definitely be looking on Petfinder for another dog in need of a forever home.
